Vaccination mandate remains in place for Winter Term

Vaccination mandate remains in place for Winter Term

We continue to carefully review our COVID-19 protocols in light of the changes to provincial guidance and the recent announcement from the Chief Medical Officer of Health

To keep stability and continuity, York will:

  • Maintain its masking requirement for all community members until the end of the winter term, including the exam period (April 30, 2022).
  • Require masks be worn in all indoor spaces including, but not limited to, test/exam locations, the Libraries, entry to Tait MacKenzie Centre and the Glendon Athletic Club, shared offices and meeting rooms, and common areas in undergraduate residences.
  • Require daily screening through YU Screen prior to attending campus and York’s Vaccination Mandate policy. Key dates regarding our vaccination mandate can be found on the Vaccination Mandate website.

In this transitional period, our measured return requires gradual change in a safe manner. Consistent with requirements in instructional spaces, physical distancing will be encouraged across all spaces, but no longer required, unless otherwise indicated by the area.

We will share additional information about decisions for the Summer term and beyond as soon as possible. Please continue to check YU Better Together for the most current information and ongoing updates.

Sincerely,
