Masks are mandatory at York

Anyone entering an indoor space on any York University property, including all campuses, work sites and satellite offices, must wear a mask  that covers their mouth, nose and chin completely.

Masks are required in all indoor spaces and must be worn for the duration of your stay. Indoor spaces at York include, but are not limited to, classrooms, administrative buildings, offices, meeting rooms and common areas in all residences, washrooms, hallways and elevators.

Where can I get a mask on campus?

Starting January 2022, community members with a valid YUCard may purchase masks from vending machines located on the Keele and Glendon Campuses. Vending machines are being stocked with level 3 masks and N95 masks as supplies become available.   Until such time, vending machines are stocked with Level 2 medical masks. Once replaced, the Level 2 medical masks will be available to any York community member free of charge.

Where supplies permit, York will make masks available to community members in need free of charge at advising offices, student support offices, Libraries, Athletics & Recreation, and the Glendon Athletic Centre.
