Project Summary
Our team has developed an educational toolkit in the form of a website that aims to help students, parents and guardians, educators, and allies to better understand issues of systemic racism within the Toronto District School Board (TDSB). We have created this website with the goal of providing an accessible resource that equips individuals with the right tools (including educational and mental health resources) to navigate the education system and feel empowered to work collectively to dismantle harmful systemic structures that plague marginalized communities. We hope to encourage and inspire students, parents and guardians, educators, and community members to become agents of change within their own communities, and to use the resources available on our website to hold those in positions of power within educational institutions accountable for perpetuating systemic barriers.
