The Soil Sampler Capstone Project's purpose is to design and develop a soil sampler for the York University Rover Society (YURS) to use as a modular part of their rover design. YURS intends to use this soil sampler to complete one of the tasks specified in Canadian International Rover Competition and the University Rover Challenge - the gathering of a soil sample collection from a variety of terrain and soil types with minimal cross contamination (9 soil samples, each with a minimum mass of 100g).
