Project Summary

Yu-Access is an application that aims to help all York University students transition from online to in-person learning due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Yu-Access offers features such as an interactive map that will help students navigate around campus, a booking feature that allows students to reserve a seat in their preferred public spaces and a built-in chat system that encourages students to interact with new peers and build a strong network and connection with other students. These main features assist students that live far away from the University to easily access the public spaces and be productive during their time on the campus.  In addition, students who find social interaction hard to do during the pandemic will be assisted with the presence of our chat system which can connect students based on their interests or even with faculty.
