Project Summary
As a member-driven, not-for-profit association, TechConnex provides members with better opportunities to create powerful business connections, hear more perspectives, have better conversations, grow their businesses and people, and lead their organizations to achieve even greater business success. Many of our member companies are small- or medium-sized technology businesses that are looking to enable and support growth, and this project aims to help facilitate business scaling while integrating sustainability and efficiency into growth plans and models. Team members will devise strategies for technology businesses to scale that focus on rapid revenue increase with incremental resource increase, as opposed to growth models that add resources and revenue at the same rate. Students interested in this project might have backgrounds in business, economics, technology-related fields, and communications and should have excellent organizational and communication skills.

TechConnex is a member-directed industry association focused on the cost-effective growth of tech businesses in the GTA. With 39 years of history and over 150 member companies, we provide a community of support for business developers, innovators, suppliers, and providers within the tech industry. We facilitate a variety of face-to-face peer groups on topics including marketing, business growth, and women in technology, and our “Lunch & Learn” sessions offer participants the opportunity to share best practices and business insights and to interact with people who are experiencing challenges similar to themselves. Through these and other events, we aim to provide a forum for our members to foster new ideas, learn, and see the world beyond their individual perspectives.
