The award, presented by the Government of Canada, supports first-rate doctoral students who undertake graduate studies in the fields of social sciences and humanities, natural sciences and\/or engineering, and health. The aim of the program is to attract and retain world-class doctoral students by supporting those who demonstrate both leadership skills and a high standard of scholarly achievement in graduate studies.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates are evaluated based on three equally weighted selection criteria: academic excellence, research potential and leadership.
