Accommodation & Conference Services is proud to provide on-campus accommodation in York University's student residences for 2023's Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences. Our residences offer a variety of options, all of which can be explored below.
Accommodation Options
We offer 3 types of residences: Traditional Dormitories with Shared Washrooms, Traditional Dormitories with Semi-Private Washrooms, and 2-Person Suites with Private Washrooms. Each has their own price point and further details are below!
All residences are smoke-free, pet-free, include complimentary Wi-Fi, and are air-conditioned. Bed linens and towels are provided in-room and you will have access to laundry facilities in the residence. Rooms are not equipped with telephones.
During Congress, we will be offering housekeeping once a week.
Traditional Dormitory Residences with Shared Washrooms
Bethune Residence
Each floor has a mix of single and double rooms, with a large, shared all-gender washroom.
Rooms are furnished with a twin bed, dresser, closet, desk, and chair (double rooms contain 2 of each item).
The shared washroom contains 4 toilet stalls, 3 shower stalls, and 6 sinks.
Single Rooms: $63 per night
Double Rooms: $106 per night
Stong Residence
Each floor has a mix of single and double rooms, with a large, shared all-gender washroom.
Rooms are furnished with a twin bed, dresser, closet, desk, and chair (double rooms contain 2 of each item).
The shared washroom contains 4 toilet stalls, 3 shower stalls, and 6 sinks.
Single Rooms: $63 per night
Double Rooms: $106 per night
Traditional Dormitory Residences with Semi-Private Washrooms
Tatham Hall
Each floor has a mix of single and double rooms, and 5 semi-private all-gender washrooms for use of all occupants on the floor.
Rooms are furnished with a twin bed, dresser, closet, desk, and chair (double rooms contain 2 of each item).
Each semi-private washroom contains 1 toilet, 1 shower, and 1 sink.
Single Rooms: $66 per night
Double Rooms: $110 per night
Vanier Residence
Each floor has a mix of single and double rooms, 1 shared all-gender washroom, and 2 semi-private all-gender washrooms for use of all occupants on the floor.
Rooms are furnished with a twin bed, dresser, closet, desk, and chair (double rooms contain 2 of each item).
Each shared washroom contains 2 toilet stalls, 1 shower stall, and 3 sinks.
Each semi-private washroom contains 1 toilet, 1 shower, and 1 sink.
Single Rooms: $66 per night
Double Rooms: $110 per night
2-Person Suites with Private Washroom
Pond Road Residence
This residence features 2-person suites. Each suite contains two single bedrooms (each with a lockable door) and a private washroom accessible only by the suite's occupants.
Bedrooms are furnished with a twin bed, dresser, closet, desk, and chair.
Each private washroom contains 1 toilet, 1 shower, and 1 sink.
2-Person Suite: $142 per night
