Research Interests: Aysegul Balta Ozgen is a Ph.D. candidate and instructor in the Department of Sociology at the University at Buffalo, SUNY. Her overall research program focuses on the intersection of international migration, integration, and policymaking. Her dissertation is currently titled: The Impact of Immigration Policies on Syrian Refugees’ Integration Experiences: A Comparative Analysis of Canada, Germany, Turkey, and the United States.
