We are very excited to announce the sixth offering of the Humanitarian Water Engineering (HWE) Intensive Course – a comprehensive 12-week program focused on safe water supply in humanitarian emergencies. Participants will explore key topics including water quality assessment, emergency source development, treatment technologies, distribution systems, and outbreak preparedness. The course blends curated readings, interactive lectures, and problem-based learning (PBL) activities, all guided by experienced facilitators. Designed for WASH practitioners, engineers, and graduate students, it equips participants with essential skills for real-world humanitarian response.
The Fall 2025 Humanitarian Water Engineering course will run from September 3 to 3 December 3, 2025 (inclusive).
This course is a joint initiative of the Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research, the Lassonde School of Engineering, and CIFAL York. Fees are set on a sliding scale—from $600 to $2,600 CAD (+tax)—to support participation and to promote a globally diverse learning environment.
Applications are due by Sunday, August 31, 2025.
