Writing Resources and Research Support at the Dahdaleh Institute

November 17 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Join us to learn about the writing resources available at the Dahdaleh Institute.

The new Writing Resource Program is a component of the larger Research Support Program, also currently under development, which includes grant application and budgeting support, editing services, internal peer review, and support with grant and project finances, hiring, reporting, knowledge mobilization, communications, and more.

At this seminar, Shana will launch the Dahdaleh Institute Style Guide, present a general overview of what makes writing effective, and describe some tools you can use to hone your writing and communicate your research in clear and compelling ways.

Shana also hopes to hear your suggestions and to learn about your interest in:

  • attending writing seminars or workshops
  • getting editing support for your grant applications, manuscripts, and reports
  • joining a writing group to help motivate you and keep you on track

Help us shape the Dahdaleh Institute Writing Resource Program to best meet your needs.

Shana Shubs is the Dahdaleh Institute’s research and finance officer and an enthusiastic advocate of clear, compelling writing. She has been providing academic editing and translation services to researchers in the natural, health, and social sciences for more than fifteen years. Shana is now developing the Institute’s new research support and writing programs.
