Graduate Student Scholar
Ayesha Shahid is a PhD student in the Department of Geography in the Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change. Her research focuses on the link between the agrarian crisis and rural-urban transformations in Pakistan. Adopting a political ecology lens, she looks at the impact of these transformations on land, livelihoods and ecology as well as the potential of agroecology in mitigating some of the impacts of these transformations. Her supervisor is Anna Zalik and she is a Dahdaleh Global Health Graduate Scholar.
