Mahnoosh Jalilzadeh is a Global Health Intern at the Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research, working with the Wellness Impact Lab (WIL) under the guidance of Dr. Harvey Skinner and Susan Harris. She is currently co-authoring a scoping review on Nature-Based Interventions for Climate-Related Emotional Distress, examining how ecological and wellness practices can support resilience in the face of climate change.

Beyond research, Mahnoosh contributes to the lab’s community engagement initiatives, including Climate Cafés, where she assists with tabling, outreach, and event facilitation. She also supports the lab’s communications efforts by contributing to social media and event promotion when needed.

Mahnoosh is completing an Honours degree in Psychology at York University. Her interests lie at the intersection of holistic well-being, eco-psychology, climate-related mental health, nature connection, mindfulness, and trauma-informed somatic practices. She is passionate about exploring how integrative and community-based approaches can foster resilience, healing, and deeper connections between people and the environment.
