The UNITAR Global Water Academy invites you to enrol in three free courses on water sustainability:
- i) On Thin Ice: The Impacts of Climate Change on Freshwater Ice,
- ii) An Introduction to Indigenous Relationships to Water on Turtle Island,
- iii) Introduction to Big Data for Water Sustainability.
In these courses, you will learn about some of the ways climate change is impacting lakes worldwide, Indigenous relationships with water where water is related to as a living entity rather than a resource, and how to acquire and analyze global freshwater and climate databases from international experts. The material will be presented in an interactive manner, allowing learners to engage with the content in various ways.
Upon successful completion of the courses, you will receive a badge from York University and in due course, a Certificate of Participation from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).
To register, simply create an account through the York University Microlecture Series in Sustainable Living platform or sign in through your Google, Microsoft, or YorkU accounts.
If you have any questions about the courses, registration, or enrollment process, please do not hesitate to reach us at ugwacord@yorku.ca.
