Note: applicants must be eligible to participate in the Research @ York (RAY) program, see&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sfs.yorku.ca\/work-study-programs\/how-to-apply-for-ray-positions\">eligibility criteria<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hourly wage:<\/strong> $19 per hour<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hours per week:<\/strong> 11 hours per week<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Start date:<\/strong> April 28, 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>End date:<\/strong> August 29, 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Job description<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the supervision of Professor Margaret MacDonald and Theresa Dinh, the Global Health Special Projects Research Assistant 2 (for up to 11 hours per week) will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Attend and actively participate in a weekly transdisciplinary global health seminar series<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide events support including administrative and logistical support on research projects<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collect and organize data on project-related expenses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support researchers and complete other duties as assigned<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct interviews with researchers to create resources to help with project-related expenses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop and maintain databases related to research projects<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support the Critical Perspectives in Global Health Research steering committee<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Specific research activities the student(s) will be engaged in:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gathering data from Institute researchers and staff<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintaining databases using Airtable software, consistently updating the databases to reflect new data and information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attending and participating in meetings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keeping clear records of grant\/funding decisions during creation and application process<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Researching funding opportunities and updating members and staff when new opportunities arise<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keeping clear records and collecting data on actively funded projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Current undergraduate York student. Applicants from diverse programs of study are encouraged. WordPress editing skills are an asset. Social media communication skills are an asset.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent interpersonal skills, including international and cross-cultural communication.
