{"id":2854,"date":"2020-12-07T11:26:53","date_gmt":"2020-12-07T16:26:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/dighr\/?p=2854"},"modified":"2023-01-14T00:31:48","modified_gmt":"2023-01-14T05:31:48","slug":"opportunity-data-analyst","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/dighr\/opportunity-data-analyst\/","title":{"rendered":"Opportunity: Data Analyst"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Position:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research&nbsp;at York University is hiring a data analyst for a project-based, limited, part-time contract.&nbsp; The successful applicant will be a current graduate student or will hold a master\u2019s degree.&nbsp; They will join the SSHRC-funded project, \u2018<em>The Role of Digital Technologies in Local Food Security During Covid-19 and Beyond: A Study of Smallholder Farmers in Odisha, India<\/em>.\u2019 The data analyst will perform quantitative data analysis on a large data set. This position will take place over the Winter 2021 semester. The expected start date is 1 February 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Quantitative data analysis skills (thorough knowledge of SPSS, Excel, or other quantitative analysis software).<\/li><li>Ability to perform basic tasks such as data cleaning and coding and complex analyses including logistical regression analysis.<\/li><li>Ability to work with a team and independently.<\/li><li>Registered as a full-time graduate student at York University OR holds a master\u2019s degree in a related field.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Desirable skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Knowledge of issues related to small-scale agriculture, food security, and\/or the food-health nexus.<\/li><li>Previous experiencing working in, or with partners based in, India.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested applicants should submit their <em>Application Package<\/em>, including your current r\u00e9sum\u00e9 (max 2 pages), cover letter (max 1 page), and contact details of 2 referees via this form <a href=\"https:\/\/dighr.apps01.yorku.ca\/machform\/view.php?id=53126\">https:\/\/dighr.apps01.yorku.ca\/machform\/view.php?id=53126<\/a>.
