Take advantage of the most diverse undergraduate education curriculum in Ontario, with our Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree program. We offer two teacher education program delivery models \u2013 Concurrent and Consecutive \u2013 leading to the Bachelor of Education degree and a recommendation for certification with the Ontario College of Teachers. Taking its name from an Anishinabe (Ojibwa) word meaning it is tomorrow, Waaban Indigenous Teacher Education is committed to a holistic program of teaching and learning that acknowledges the impacts of colonialism and draws on the wisdom of ancestral teachings and contemporary leaders to put Indigenous futures into Indigenous hands. There is a current shortage of qualified technological education teachers in Ontario and it is expected to become critical in the next few years. Our Bachelor of Arts (BA) Educational Studies program provides students with the depth of knowledge needed to understand education and its role in society today.
