SHIFT 2025: FESA Professional Development Conference

Welcome to SHIFT 2025, a professional development conference presented by FESA! SHIFT is all about changing the way we think about the movement, change and momentum within education. As future educators, we’re not just entering classrooms. We are shifting the culture of education. From theory to practice, from student to teacher, from surviving to thriving.

You’ll see all kinds of ways we can implement our SHIFT in thinking at our conference. From our workshop leaders, who will present new ways of thinking on ideas that are the pillars of education, to our panel discussion, bringing topics that will affect you to the forefront, we’re talking about SHIFT in more ways than one.

This year, we’re bringing a keynote speaker to talk about SHIFT. Matthew Ray Jones aka Testament will open up the conference and speak about ways SHIFT is affecting us today. Make sure you arrive on time so you don’t miss out on this exciting start to the day.

Get ready to spend the day at the York University Second Student Centre, located on York’s Keele campus. Between the keynote, workshops and panel discussion, you’ll have the opportunity to network with your fellow educators. Meet your peers from the program and around the GTA and make connections that will last your entire career.
