High School Applicants - Direct Entry to the BEd Program
Complete the Supplementary Form and the Online Letter of Recommendation (LOR) - Deadline March 20, 2026
- All BEd Direct Entry applicants are required to submit an online supplementary form which includes:
- Experience profile
- Experience summary
- Personal statement
- Two online letters of recommendation
- Applicants for the Glendon Campus, Pre-Education French as a Second Language (OUAC code YGJ) are required to write a French Language Placement test through offered by Glendon or upload their DALF/DELF scores. Instructions will be shared with applicants after applying to the program.
- As well, all applicants who submit the online supplementary form will be required to pay a $50.00 non-refundable processing fee.
- Information on the online supplementary form and payment process will be available on MyFile when filling out the online supplementary form.
Consecutive Bachelor of Education
Applications due on December 1, 2025. All supporting documentation which includes, transcripts, English Proficiency Test results, the York University Faculty of Education Supplementary Application Form and all other admission documents (Experience Profile, Personal Statement, submission of two referees) are due on December 18, 2025. Admission decisions will not be available on the OUAC website until March 1, 2026. Applicants are required to respond to offers of admission using the OUAC TEAS website by the issued deadline date.
Completing BEd Supplementary Information Form (SIF) and References: The Supplementary Information Form (SIF) deadline is December 18th midnight, and references are due by January 2, 2026. Please check with your referees to ensure they have received the reference requests and advise them to check their spam/junk email too. Candidates can see the reference status on MyFile if completed or not by the referee.
Please note the following:
- As you complete the supplementary information form and submit it you may see errors appearing as symbols. This is a technical system issue, and it will not affect the review of your file.
- High School transcripts are not required.
- Please review the information booklet on MyFile that offers important details and the deadlines.
York U offices/dept closed for the holiday season: Heading into the holiday season the university will be closed starting December 24th through to January 2nd. All York offices/depts will resume normal office hours on Monday, January 5th.
Waaban Indigenous Teacher Education Program
Program begins May 2026.
- Early Acceptance deadline - Apply by early December 2025 and submit the supplementary form, references and transcript(s) by mid December 2025.
- Final application deadline - January 15, 2026.
- Applicants are encouraged to apply sooner as the deadline to submit the supporting documents (Next Steps ) for Admission review is January 20, 2026.
Jewish Teacher Education (JTE)
Applications are due on December 1, 2025. Bachelor of Education Technological Education
Applications are due on December 1, 2025. All supporting documentation which includes, transcripts, English Proficiency Test results, the York University Faculty of Education Supplementary Application Form, resume and all other admission documents (Experience Profile, Personal Statement, submission of two referees) are due on December 18, 2025. Admission decisions will not be available on the OUAC website until March 1, 2026. Applicants are required to respond to offers of admission using the OUAC TEAS website by the issued deadline date.
