It has been a journey that I have tried to explore, in looking to bridge my passion for education and policy together. These community connections provide opportunities for students to put theory into practice, enhance transferable skills and build community relationships. Our students choose from diverse educational programs with a variety of organizations who offer community resources and supports for students and their families. BA EDST students engage with communities and support various programs (e.g., recreation, arts, tutoring, mentoring, special needs) housed within outdoor education centres, museums, community centres, shelters, public libraries, and schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> \u2014 <em><em>Lindsay LaMorre, Associate Director, Experiential Education<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<\/ul><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"more\">Overview<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Graduates with a Bachelor of Arts (BA), Educational Studies degree have a wealth of career opportunities ahead of them.&nbsp;Education&nbsp;provides the&nbsp;foundation for growth and achievement across all sectors.&nbsp;This degree enables students to understand the role of education outside the traditional school setting, as a means for human growth and development.&nbsp;There are highly skilled educators at work anywhere human beings share knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">These&nbsp;educational policy makers, librarians,&nbsp;corporate trainers&nbsp;and professional developers,&nbsp;instructors,&nbsp;health educators, learning&nbsp;or public policy consultants, tutors, academic advisors and career counsellors (to name just a few)&nbsp;apply their knowledge of how and why people learn&nbsp;to their daily work,&nbsp;as they contribute to their communities and succeed in their chosen fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">The BA, Educational Studies program provides both international and domestic students with the depth of knowledge needed to understand education and its role in society today.&nbsp;Students in this program develop the essential skills necessary to succeed in educational work outside of the traditional classroom.
