Glendon's Race Equity Caucus (CERREC), in collaboration with York University's Institute for Research on Digital Literacies, is honoured to welcome Toufah Jallow, a renowned Gambian feminist activist.
Toufah Jallow is a leading figure in the fight against violence against women. In 2021, she co-authored with journalist Kim Pattaway the book “Toufah, The Woman Who Inspired an African #MeToo Movement”.
Toufah Jallow will be in dialogue with the equally renowned Dr. Gertrude Mianda. Professor of Women and Gender Studies at the Glendon Campus of York University. This conversation will shed light on the struggles each of them is waging.
