Mandatory preparation before you enrol

After you log in to Passport York for the first time, you will be prompted to set up two-factor authentication (2FA). DUO Mobile application. Follow these instructions to complete the setup.

Setting up your Security Questions is required before you can enrol in your first course. Click here to set up your Security Questions.

MANDATORY

Write your online language assessment here: https://placement.glendon.yorku.ca/my/

This will determine which language learning course you will need to take in your first semester. You don’t need any prior knowledge to complete the assessment or the language learning courses.

Professional Translation (PTRN) program: Exempt

French Studies (FRAN) program: write the “French for Major/Minor” assessment.

All other programs:

English speakers (primary language) write the “French as a Second Language (FSL)” assessment.

French speakers (primary language) write the “English as a Second Language (ENSL)” assessment.

Ensure that you have the correct email address on file as this is the primary method of communication from the university. Click to verify your contact information here.
