The Director - Susan Pond<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The director of the Glendon School of Public and International Affairs is Mrs Susan Pond, M.S.C. working along talented faculty, staff and Fellows, and supported by generous gifts provided by BMO and Power Corporation, she is responsible for several high-profile events, including the popular Glendon Global Dialogue series. In carry out these activities Ms. Pond is committed to diversity and inclusion. She has  reinstated the highly esteemed study trip for all students to the United Nations in New York in 2024 and Washington DC in 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to her longstanding experience in the field, her vast network, and the contribution of York International, Glendon College, and other supporters, Director Pond provides students with exceptional access to transformative experiential learning opportunities. The aim of the School is to help create a rich and rewarding learning experience for the next generation of community leaders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our students witness the power of innovative and collaborative approaches to creating positive change. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to research and analysis and her steadfast support that led to the creation of two MPIA internships at the NATO Security Force Assistance Centre of Excellence (COE) Ms Pond was made a Senior Fellow of the COE. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Francis Garon<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heading the master\u2019s in Public and International Affairs is Associate Professor Francis Garon, a public policy and administration specialist. Within the discipline, his areas of expertise include immigration,  integration, multiculturalism, and linguistic policy. In the MPIA, he\u2019s teaching The Policy Process and conduct the Weekly Colloquium: Canada and its Place in the World, a guest speakers\u2019 series that runs in both the Fall and Winter terms. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
