Appointments are available via the booking link below, and walk-ins are welcome between 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Please ensure you bring all required documents listed below.\nClinic Details\n\nLocation: Keele Campus, York Lanes, Room 242 (Second Floor)\nClinic Dates and Time:\n\nThursday, September 4th from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM\nThursday, September 18th from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM\n\n\nAppointment Duration: Approximately 10 minutes per student\nBooking: Book your appointment to confirm your spot ( https://yorkinternational.apps01.yorku.ca/machform/view.php?id=1019385 )\n\nNote: Each student should book only one appointment. Service Canada may accept drop-ins if there are cancellations or no-shows.\nWhy You Need a SIN\nA Social Insurance Number is required to:\n\nWork in Canada\nAccess government benefits and services\n\nYour study permit must include a condition allowing you to work, such as:\n“May accept employment on or off campus if meeting eligibility criteria as per R186(f), (v), or (w).”\nRequired Documents\nTo apply for, confirm, or amend your SIN, you must present original documents. ( https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/request-amend-record-landing-confirmation-permanent-residence-valid-temporary-resident-documents.html )\nIf you weren't eligible to work when your study permit was issued, but you are now, you should apply for a study permit extension ( https://yorkinternational.yorku.ca/immigration-application-resources/#extension ). You will have to explain in your application that you are now eligible and want to have a condition allowing you to work on your new study permit.\n\n\n\nOnce your updated permit is issued, you may apply for a SIN.\n
