This webinar offers you the chance to optimize your actions to care for yourself and your family with UHIP. It is also open to international students with OHIP coverage.\nBy the end of this session, you will:\n\nUnderstand the structure of the Ontario healthcare system: Learn how the system came to be, how its structure compares to that of some other countries in the world, and when to visit what kind of medical establishment.\nNavigate cultural differences: Learn the role of a patient before, during and after a visit with a doctor. Learn what kinds of questions a doctor may ask during a medical visit.\nUnderstand your rights as a patient: Learn about your medical privacy, expectations for proper and safe care, and when to seek a second medical opinion.\nBe aware of support services that may be available at your medical clinic: Including accommodations during a medical visit and services in your maternal language.\nUse resources to find a doctor: See a demo of online resources to support your healthcare navigation.\n\nAt the end of the session, participants will have the chance to ask questions in a large group setting.\n---\nQue vous soyez un.e nouvel.le étudiant.e international.e ou non, le système de santé de l'Ontario peut être difficile à parcourir.
