York is a proud participant of the Daughters for Life Foundation, a Canadian charity combatting global inequality by opening international educational opportunities to Middle Eastern women. Since 2016, York has hosted numerous Daughters for Life scholars who have gone onto be voices of equality and agents for change in global communities.

The 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) wrapped up on Dec. 12, with more than 50,000 delegates who descended upon Dubai in the United Arab Emirates for the annual international climate summit. Among the delegates was Angele Alook, an assistant professor in the School of Gender, Sexuality & Women’s Studies. Read More.
