At York University, our primary goal is to foster a vibrant and globally engaged community. We achieve this by fortifying diverse international partnerships, confronting global challenges head-on, and nurturing a profound sense of belonging. Transnational Education (TNE) models offer students at partner institutions to study York curriculum and programs at their home institutions. York has a variety of existing TNE models and its eager to exploring all innovative program options to open recruitment pathways, advance York's learning outcomes, and create mutual beneficial global partnerships.
Transnational Education broadly refers to any form of education (courses / programs) that are delivered in a country other than the country of the institution that developed the curriculum and that provides the educational certification. Engaging the World: York University's Global Engagement Strategy commits the university to inclusive internationalization of curriculum, lower barriers to international education, and develop multi-dimensional partnerships. Transnational education positively reinforces each of these goals.
