Bennett Graduate Bursary for Canadian Studies

Overview

The Chancellor Bennett Graduate Bursary for the Study of Canadian Literature will be granted to recognize students' commitment and excellence in the study of Canadian Literature. To be eligible, applicants must be incoming Master's students engaging in study and/or research in Canadian Literature. Recipients must be Canadian citizens/permanent residents or protected persons, residents of Ontario and demonstrate financial need.

  • $1,000

Eligibility

  • Must be in Year 1 of Masters at the time of application.
  • Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons and be Ontario residents*
  • Confirmation of financial need;
  • Be engaged in research related to the study of Canadian Literature.

Deadline

  • Student deadline: March 31, 2026

How to Apply

  • Current Master's students are required to complete a Student Profile in the Financial Aid, Awards and Scholarships (FAAS) platform, including a completed Needs Assessment for the current study period.
  • Personal statement indicating how their research aligns with the scope of the bursary.
  • An updated copy of the applicant’s CV.
