Managing Research Photographs for Humanities Scholars Online
Presenter: Anna St.Onge
This workshop provides an introduction to the open-source desktop tool Tropy, which helps researchers manage, describe, and tag research images. Aimed primarily at Humanities scholars who conduct archival research, participants in this workshop will be able to:
- install Tropy on their computer;
- understand the basic functions of Tropy to label, tag, and add notes to digital images;
- apply best-practices for file naming, subject tagging of images;
- understand the export and import functionality of the tool
