*Full- time York University employees who are accepted into graduate programs at York are ineligible to hold graduate funding packages.<\/strong>*<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Graduate students must maintain continuous registration in all terms \u2014 Fall, Winter and Summer \u2014 until graduation, subject to the time limits stated in Regulations<\/a>, and must pay the appropriate term fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You must register and accept your fees before the posted deadline. Please visit Registrar's Office\u2014Registration and Enrollment<\/a> in order to register. You will need to sign in to your Passport York account to complete your registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note:<\/strong> The Faculty of Graduate Studies does not require an enrollment deposit. By accepting your fees online, you are deemed to be registered. (This does not apply to the School of Social Work)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students are expected to remain in the category of registration to which they are admitted unless a change of status is approved by their Graduate Program Director and the Faculty of Graduate Studies. A change of status for a term must be made prior to the start of the term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overdue Balances<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Interest charges<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Payments on your Student Account are due on the 10th of each month. If you do not pay the \"minimum payment due this month\" to the University by this date, you will be subject to interest charges of 1.09% monthly on the amount owing from your last statement. The annual interest rate is 13 per cent.

Funded graduate students will not be charged interest for an additional month after the due date (FA-Oct\/WI-Feb\/SU-Jun)<\/em>, as it is expected that the funding components will be posted on your Student Account after the program charges and will cover all or most<\/em> of the program fees. For example, if the due date is Sept 10th, then graduate students will not be charged any interest until Oct 10th.

However, please remember that Rental fees will not be covered<\/em> by the graduate funding package. Please keep an eye on your Student Account each month to ensure that all the funding components have been posted and the charges for the current term are fully covered. If there is still an outstanding balance after the funding has been posted, please make a payment<\/a> to the University to avoid the interest charge. Graduate students who having difficulty meeting their financial obligations should inform FGS<\/a> as soon as possible. Please keep in mind, that your outstanding balance is your responsibility regardless of the funding that you expect to receive from York University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Financial blocks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The threshold for student account overdue balances was raised to permit students to enrol in courses if they are in good academic standing with overdue balances below $1,500<\/strong> for domestic students \/ $3,500<\/strong> for international students.

If you have an overdue balance on your student account at any point after the dates listed below, you will be blocked from adding new courses, changing sections, or exchanging one course for another through the online Registration and Enrolment Module (REM); however, you will still be able to drop courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
