D-Day is a dark comedy about how the world annihilates itself because of a single drop of rain. In a future not so far away, the world discovers an extraordinary natural phenomenon known only as PURE, which immediately sparks many scientific and political controversies. What is PURE? Pure is a Particularly Uncommon Rain Event. Scientific debate about PURE’s precise number of rain drops between Canada and the US quickly escalates into an international conflict, which soon causes a chain of unfortunate events that includes the mysterious murder of the beloved scientists who was determined to resolve the debate, the deaths of a few unlucky civilians and the near happening of a nuclear war.
