SUMMARY:Experiences of Mothers Using the Prevention Mother-to-Child Transmission Program to Prevent HIV Transmission in Rwanda
DESCRIPTION:The health of women and children is interlinked. HIV/AIDS is among the causes of death of millions ofchildren under five. Without preventive interventions, 20% to 45% of HIV mothers will transmit HIV totheir children. This presentation will focus on experiences of mothers using the Prevention Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT) program to prevent HIV transmission.
