Michael Kalu, an assistant professor in the School of Kinesiology and Health Science, received the 2025 New Investigation Award from the Canadian Association on Gerontology for leadership potential in aging research

Assistant Professor, Michael Kalu has been awarded the Canadian Association on Gerontology New Investigator Award. The award is presented to recognize an outstanding new researcher in the field of aging whose contributions reflect their leadership potential in research with a value of $5,000. The award was presented by Dr. Brad Meisner, YU-CARE (York University Centre for Aging Research & Education) Executive Committee member and Professor in the School of Kinesiology and Health Science.
