Assistant Professor Michael Kalu is doing collaborative work at York University to advance equitable health care. Using innovative technology, Dr. Kalu's research focuses on the barriers in health care facing Black older adults. In Canada, Black communities face a higher burden of chronic illnesses such as diabetes and hypertension, and too often do so without access to equitable or culturally appropriate care.
