Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA) Awards Emerita Faculty and Graduating Student in the School of Kinesiology and Health Science

The Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA) has awarded emerita faculty member Dr. Frances Flint from the Athletic Therapy program in the School of Kinesiology and Health Science as one of two 2026 Hall of Fame Inductees. Flint was inducted with co-recipient Connie Klassen, a certified athletic therapist from Manitoba. According to the CATA website, "The CATA Hall of Fame celebrates extraordinary individuals whose dedication have helped shape, strengthen, and elevate both the Association and the Athletic Therapy profession. This year’s distinguished inductees represent a legacy of leadership, passion, and enduring impact whose contributions continue to influence and inspire the future of the field."

CATA also awarded Athletic Therapy Student Sabrina Suppa, graduating in the School of Kinesiology and Health Science, this year's CATA Scholarship Award which "recognizes Athletic Therapy skills, academic success, and potential for leadership within the profession."
