‘Getting Ready to Transfer’ to York Checklist

This checklist will help you get ready for your fall (Year 3) practicum placements. It provides you with a checklist of YOUR NEXT STEPS.

MARCH: Create your York Passport account and York email (so as not to miss critical information which we will send to your York email account).

APRIL - MAY: Complete and submit your GeoPreferences e-form to the NPCO by the first Friday in May deadline.

MARCH - AUGUST: Complete your Clinical Preparedness Permit (CPP).

JUNE - AUGUST: Bring your completed CPP to the NPCO to have it ‘stamped’ by the August 30th deadline.

JUNE: Look out for an email from the NPCO with details about your fall and winter practicum enrolment (based on your submitted GeoPreferences form). Keep this email - it’s critical for your fall course enrolment!

JUNE: Read the email from the Faculty of Health to your York email account with course    enrolment instructions and links.

JULY: E-enrol in your Year 3 courses and sign-up your for fall student orientation.

JULY to AUGUST: Get your School of Nursing Photo Identification (ideally the same day as you come in to have your CPP stamped).

AUGUST: Look out for an email in mid-August with instructions on how to view details about your fall clinical placement on HSPnet.

Feel free to call the NPCO at 416.736.2100 ext. 33174 or email npco@yorku.ca with any questions you may have.
