Gain foundational knowledge in child and youth development psychology. Explore experimental development psychology; the biological, social, cognitive, and behavioural aspects of development; and developmental conditions and treatment approaches.
Through this concentration, you will learn how developmental psychology applies across family, school, cultural, and societal contexts, as well as clinical settings. You will build the tools and skills needed for child- and youth-focused careers or graduate studies in research and education.
- Submit the Child and Youth Development Concentration registration form once all requirements are fulfilled.
Concentration Requirements
To earn this concentration, you will need to complete at least 18 credits from the courses listed below, with a minimum average GPA of C+ across those courses.
* Individual research project must focus on a topic directly related to Child and Youth Development and be approved by the Concentration Coordinator.
