Nursing Assistant Professor Dr. Karen Campbell<\/strong> has received a four-year, $451k Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) project grant<\/a> in support of her study, \"Exploring the Relationship Between Intimate Partner Violence and Health in Women with Multiple Sclerosis.\" This mixed methods study will investigate how experiences of IPV influence the health\/well-being and disease progression of women living with MS, and healthcare practitioner\u2019s knowledge and readiness to respond to IPV, with the aim of informing more responsive healthcare interventions and policies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Nursing Assistant Professor and Graduate Program Director Dr. Trina (Catriona) Buick<\/strong> has received a Cancer Research Society operating grant<\/a> of $130k for her project \"Examination of Clinician and Patient Feasibility and Acceptability in the Utilization of Self-Collection of HPV self-sample within the Colposcopy Pathway.\u201d This study explores the feasibility, adherence, and acceptability of HPV self-collection at home prior to colposcopy follow-up exams and aims to understand patients' and providers' views on its integration into the colposcopy care pathway. This is a crucial step before HPV self-collection can be widely implemented in colposcopy care pathway, helping to improve efficiency and safety in a resource-limited healthcare setting.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
