On-Campus Housing
(a) The Pond Road Student Residence (subsidy available)
For those staying on campus during SPIDA, accommodation will be in the Pond Road Residence (building #35 on the map) which opened in September 2004. Accomodation will be limited to those on a first-come first-served basis. The residence is adjacent to the Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) Building (building #39 on the map), where most SPIDA activities take place. This building features two-bedroom suites which share an ensuite kitchen (contains refrigerator and stove) and bathroom: the cost for double occupancy is $77.00 per person per day (taxes are included). On the request form, this accommodation is referred to as a
"Single Room".
Bedrooms are furnished with a single bed, desk, lamp, large wardrobe, telephone (local calling capabilities only). There are no Internet drops. Daily bed-making service is provided and all guests are supplied with towels, linens and soap. There is a large ground floor common room which features a laundry room, comfortable lounge furniture and a landscaped courtyard outside.

There is a gym in the Tait McKenzie Centre (building #4 on the map), tennis courts, and outdoor tracks. Maps and some conference information will be available at the check-in counter.
(b) Schulich School of Business Hotel (no subsidy available)
On-campus hotel accommodation is also available at the SSB Hotel (in the Executive Learning Center, building #94 on the map). Full service rooms cost $149.00 per night (+10% taxes).
Space in this location is severely limited.

Parking
Parking closest to both the TEL and SSB Buildings is the Student Services Parking Garage (#84 on the map).

Food Services
There are many chain restaurants and cafeterias found on campus.
Establishments located on campus at York Lanes and the Student Centre serve Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Italian, and vegetarian food, as well as sandwiches and burgers.
Food chains on the campus include Wendy's, Tim Horton's, Panzerotto & Pizza, Jimmy the Greek, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Great Canadian Bagel, Second Cup, and Subway.
In Vanier, the Cock and Bull Pub does a good and inexpensive BBQ every night.

Computer and Internet Access
Each participant will be given a York computer account and will have access to the computer lab. These labs have internet and e-mail access.
Lunch Talks
These sessions will be held in the same room as the morning sessions. These are open to anyone who wants to attend, at no charge. Feel free to bring your lunch.
Off-campus Services
In the north end of the city, there are a number of restaurants (Kelsey's, TacoBell, etc.), malls, beer/liquor stores, and banks. There are also a number of ATMs on campus (Bank of Montreal, Toronto Dominion, Scotia Bank). The main streets around us are Steeles (North), Jane (West), Keele (East) and Finch (South). Do not hesitate to ask us if your favourite restaurant is nearby or within the delivery area.
