. The Moot is named after Madam Justice Bertha Wilson and involves the equality issues for which she was such a strong advocate. The Final Oral Competition is held during a weekend, with preliminary rounds Friday followed by a cocktail party for all teams and coaches, and final rounds on Saturday. The judges are members of the bar and the bench. The Final Bench is typically comprised of a Supreme Court of Canada judge (last year Mr. Justice Cory and the year before Mr. Justice Binnie) and two members of the Court of Appeal for Ontario (last year Madam Justice Abella and Mr. Justice McPherson).
