Project Title: Digital Magazine Research-Creation: Hispanic Cultural Production in Canada
Description of Research Project
This faculty-directed research-creation project supports the development of a bilingual (Spanish–English) digital magazine focused on Hispanic cultural production in Canada. The project emerges from SP4990 (Foreign Language and Digital Media) and contributes to an ongoing research agenda in digital humanities, research-creation, and knowledge mobilization.
During the Summer term, the DARE student will support preparatory and infrastructural research activities, including supervised archival research, source summarization, transcription, digital content organization, metadata tagging, and accessibility preparation. The project emphasizes undergraduate research skill development through structured, faculty-guided tasks that reflect standard research assistant training.
All research design, analytical framing, interpretation, and authorship remain under the intellectual direction of the faculty supervisor. The student’s role is explicitly supportive and developmental.
