Explores regional varieties of Spanish from the Iberian Peninsula and Latin American, including indigenous and African contributions to Latin America Spanish, and contact varieties in the United States and elsewhere. Prerequisite: AP/SP 3100 3.00 or AP/SP 3000 6.00 or AP/SP 3050 6.00 or equivalent or permission of the Instructor. Taught in Spanish.
