Christopher Grafos, Ph.D., completed his doctoral thesis at York University in 2017. His research examines the Greek Anti-Dictatorship Movement in Toronto and Montreal (1967 to 1974) alongside Canadian immigration policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Christopher is the course director of HIST 3356 \u2013\u00a0Greeks in the World: A History of Greek Migration. The course examines the history of migration from Greece to North America with a focus on the twentieth century. Among other major themes, the course covers historical moments like the 1918 Anti-Greek Riots in Toronto and second-generation perceptions of ethnicity and belonging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Christopher is co-founder of the\u00a0Greek Canadian History Project, which is now the\u00a0HHF Greek Canadian Archives. These archival collections are housed at the Clara Thomas Archives and Special Collections - York University Libraries (read more about the origins of this initiative in YFile).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
