Experience York is the online system used to manage the full range of experiential education opportunities available to students across LA&PS. Students can use the system to apply for internship positions, register for programs and activities that support their personal, academic and professional development, and reflect upon and track their skill development.
Applying for Internships
The LA&PS Internship Program offers paid, short-term employment that take place in between academic terms over 4, 8, 12 or 16 months.
To begin the process of applying to the Internship Program or the Internship Awards Program, students must first register and attend an information session.
Steps to Login:
- Click the link below and login with your York PPY
- From the left side navigation bar, select “Liberal Arts & Professional Studies”
- The select "Events & Workshops"
- A calendar will appear.
- Select the next available information session that suits your schedule.
Register for Career Support Services
LA&PS offers career support services for students including resume and cover letter critique, interview preparation and advice about your LinkedIn profile.
Under the “Liberal Arts & Professional Studies” tab in the left sidebar, mandatory and optional career workshops are offered on a weekly-basis in the “Events & Workshops” calendar, as well as one-on-one career support appointments for specialized help.
Enrolling in Placement Courses
Placements are unpaid, part-time, work-focused experiences that take place as part of a course for academic credit.
To gain access to the placement courses interface, ensure you are enrolled in the correct course via York’s Registration and Enrolment Module as each course has its own unique Experience York registration procedure.
