Sheila Embleton receives King Charles III Coronation Medal for her work in linguistics

King Charles III Coronation Medal

Over 20 York University community members, and five LA&PS community members, have been honoured with a King Charles III Coronation Medal. The medal recognizes outstanding contributions to public service and society in the areas of education, research, public policy and social advocacy.

Sheila Embleton, professor in the Department of Languages, Literatures & Linguistics, was recognized for her work in linguistics which looks at how language change, variation and policy affect multicultural communication and education.
