Japanese Studies students win top prizes in Canadian National Japanese Speech Content

Four students from the Department of Languages, Literatures & Linguistics’ (DLLL) Japanese Studies Program won top prizes at the 36th Canadian National Japanese Speech Contest (NJSC), after their historic first place wins at the Ontario Japanese Speech Contest.

Ava-karie Hislop, Yuna Wong, Alex Sarkozi and Cheryl Leung presented their talks at the national competition and won top prizes which was hosted at York’s Keele Campus.
