
York University professor David Koffman, from the Department of History in the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, is the co-executive producer of the new podcast Tête-à-tête: Conversations in Canadian Jewish Studies, alongside Joshua Tapper. Tête-à-tête is a production of the Association for Canadian Jewish Studies, based at York’s Israel and Golda Koschitzky Centre for Jewish Studies and features thought-provoking discussions on Canadian Jewish life.
Koffman, an associate professor in York University’s Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies (LA&PS), is also editor-in-chief of the journal Canadian Jewish Studies and the J. Richard Shiff Chair for the Study of Canadian Jewry.
Each episode distills new research about Jewish life in Canada and beyond into 20- or 25-minute episodes that are accessible to anyone, including students, scholars or the general public. Hosted by Jonathan Slater, episode topics include Jewish education, history, political involvement and relationships between Jewish Canadians and Canada’s other cultural groups. Koffman aims to make this research accessible to a wide audience around the world.
