School of Public Policy & Administration professor interviewed by CBC about Mark Carney’s investment portfolio

Professor Ian Stedman, an associate professor in the School of Public Policy & Administration, appeared on a recent episode of CBC’s Power & Politics to discuss Prime Minister Mark Carney’s investment portfolio, which includes 103 entities currently under a conflict of interest screen. In conversation with host Catherine Cullen, Stedman explored how this unprecedented situation might be addressed both now and in the future. He noted that the existing compliance rules surrounding conflicts of interest may need to be revised moving forward.

Ian Stedman is an associate professor of Canadian Public Law and Governance in the School of Public Policy & Administration. He received his PhD in Law from Osgoode Hall Law School. His research interests include law and justice, science and technology, public sector ethics & accountability and artificial intelligence.
