Marcela Porporato, professor in the School of Administrative Studies (SAS), has co-edited a special section on qualitative research in accounting published in the journal Academia Revista Latinoamericana de Administración (ARLA). The journal is the official publication of the Latin American Council of Management Schools (CLADEA), an international organization that brings together higher education institutions and other organizations dedicated to management teaching and research.

The special section’s theme focuses on how accounting practices can reflect and reinforce social divisions and highlights qualitative accounting research scholars working around the world, demonstrating York’s commitment to international academic collaboration.

Several York-affiliated scholars were featured in the section, including professors Gajindra Maharaj and Kelly Thomson, adjunct professor Taslima Nasreen, and Alejandra Moreno-Lopez, a former international visiting research trainee.
