Akolisa Ufodike, an associate professor in the School of Administrative Studies (SAS), has authored an article for Forbes about four key takeaways from the Covid-19 pandemic and why they still matter today.
In the article, Ufodike identifies the four lessons that business leaders can learn from as: master the basics first, treat equity as infrastructure, measure output not visibility and map the supply chain early. He explains how the Covid-19 pandemic pushed businesses to understand the basics of running their companies effectively, to reflect on their purpose and to question their assumptions about how things are done. These lessons, he says, remain essential for building resilient and effective organizations today.
Akolisa Ufodike teaches auditing at SAS and also holds an appointment in the graduate program in Public Policy, Administration and Law, where he teaches public sector finance at the graduate level. His research interests include accountability, actor networks, common pool resources, public sector finance and public-private partnerships.
